Episode #105: Crypto Beyond Trading with Edward Woodford of Zero Hash

Zero Hash CEO joins to discuss expansion in Brazil, partnerships with Stripe, Interactive Brokers, Securitize and more

Olá pessoal!

Today I’m joined by Edward Woodford, CEO of crypto infrastructure provider Zero Hash.

Zero Hash counts heavyweights such as Stripe, Interactive Brokers and Securitize among its client base, and is exploring new areas like cross-border remittances and tokenization infrastructure.

We discuss how Zero Hash has evolved its crypto as infrastructure business since launching in 2017. It now provides, through its APIs and SDKs, easy-to-use technology and regulatory solutions for partners looking to offer crypto to their clients.

The company also has roughly 50 employees based in Brazil, many of whom take their salaries in crypto through Zero Hash’s rails.

Key takeaways from this episode:

  • Viewing crypto just as an asset class is "myopic" - it's a transformative technology layer unlocking new use cases

  • Why remittances, cross-border payments, and global payroll in crypto are underrated opportunities

  • Why major crypto moves by players like BlackRock (an investor in Securitize) have been validators for the industry

  • How ZeroHash aims to be the "default provider" for tokenized money markets and assets by solving key integration challenges with public blockchains.

  • Why Brazil is a key growth market and engineering hub for ZeroHash's global team

I really enjoyed this conversation with Edward and I hope you do as well. You can connect with him on Linkedin

Have a great week everyone,
